Optimism and Arbitrum are the names of two of the most popular scalability solutions for the Ethereum network. Both aim to reduce transaction fees and the time it takes to execute them using a technology known as Optimistic Rollups.

What do Optimistic Rollups do?

They allow for faster transactions to be executed off of the main Ethereum chain, consolidating them before recording them on the main blockchain. The grouping of multiple transactions prior to their registration on the blockchain helps speed up operations and reduce associated fees, promoting greater use cases for the Ethereum network.

Optimistic Rollups do not compute transactions, so they implement a dispute resolution system with "fraud proofs" that seeks to ensure that operations are legitimate and non-fraudulent.

Why did we integrate Optimism and Arbitrum into belo?

We want you to be able to move your money in the most agile and economical way possible. Optimism and Arbitrum have grown significantly and are positioned as two of the most important scalability solutions for transacting on Ethereum with shorter waiting times and associated costs.

It is currently possible to make transfers of USDT, USDC, and ETH to and from your belo wallet through your Arbitrum and Optimism addresses. You can access them in the "Receive" and "Transfer" sections, by clicking on "Cryptocurrencies".
