How to deposit Colombian pesos into belo

You can deposit Colombian pesos by creating links from the app. You can use them yourself or share them to receive money from others, simply and without friction.

🔗 What is a single-use link?

A single-use link is an enlace you generate from belo to receive Colombian pesos (COP) from Colombian accounts. You can use it in two ways:

  • Share it with another person: you send the link to whoever wants to transfer money to you, and that person sends the funds from their bank account.

  • Use it yourself: you open the link from your own device and transfer money to your belo account from any of your bank accounts.

How is a link created and used?

👉 Create a link with the amount you wish to deposit

  1. Go to the "Deposit pesos" section within your belo account.

  2. Select how you want to deposit them: "From local account".

  3. Tap "Create new link" and enter the amount in COP you wish to receive.

  4. If you need more than one link for the same value, activate "Create multiple links" and choose the quantity (maximum 5 at a time).

  5. Tap "Create link". The link will be active immediately, with a validity of 24 hours.

👉 Use the link to deposit money

  • Copy or share the link via WhatsApp, email, or other means, or open it yourself to transfer money from your account.

  • The money transfer is made via bank transfer.

  • Each link is for single-use only: once used, it cannot be used again.

⏱️ How long is a link active?

Each link is valid for 24 hours from its creation. After that period, it expires automatically and can no longer be used.

🔄 What happens if the link expires or is rejected?

If a link expired before being used, you have two options:

  • Duplicate it: from the "Closed" tab, tap the expired link and select "Duplicate". A new active link is generated with the same amount, valid for 24 hours.

  • Create a new one: return to the main screen and create a new link by entering the amount again.

If the link was rejected, it means there was an issue on our end while processing it or the person who received the link canceled the transaction. In that case:

  • You will receive a notification informing you that the link was rejected.

  • The rejected link cannot be used again, but you can duplicate it from the "Closed" tab to generate a new one with the same amount, or create a new one from the "Deposit pesos" section.

You can also duplicate active links at any time if you need to generate another one with the same value.

📋 Where do I see my links and their status?

In the "Deposit pesos" screen you will find three tabs:

  • Active: valid links ready to use or share.

  • Received: links that have already been used, with access to the receipt.

  • Closed: expired or rejected links. From here you can duplicate them.

Rejected links are due to an issue on our end; you can duplicate them with the same amount or create a new one from the "Deposit pesos" section in the app.

💰 Where do I see the credited money?

Once the money transfer is processed, the deposit appears in two places:

  • In "Activity", on the home screen.

  • In the "My money" section, within your account.

🪙 How is the money credited? The 1:1 parity with COLt

The money is credited to your account in COLt, the Colombian peso token issued by Twin Finance. The parity is always 1 COP = 1 COLt: if you receive $50,000 COP, exactly $50,000 COLt are credited to your balance. COLt is a stablecoin whose value does not fluctuate. You can use them to send money, make payments, or exchange them for other cryptocurrencies.
