Saving pots

What are Saving Pots in belo? 🏦

Saving Pots are savings pockets separate from your available balance. You can create them in whichever currency you choose and move funds into them whenever you decide, including automatically.

What are they for? 💡

For saving with a purpose. Whether you're putting money aside for a trip, a big expense, or just want to keep certain funds separate, saving pots help you stay organized without mixing your savings with your everyday available balance.

Which currencies can I use?

You can create saving pots in any currency available in the belo app:

  • Local currencies:

    • ARGt

    • BRAt

    • BOLt

    • CHLt

    • COLt

    • MEXt

    • PERt

  • Stablecoins:

    • USDT

    • USDC

  • Other cryptos:

    • BTC

    • ETH

    • SOL

    • XAUT

How does it work? 🤔

When you create a saving pot, you can:

  • Set a goal: define a target amount and your saving pot will track your progress. Goals are optional.

  • Deposit funds: move money from your available balance into the saving pot whenever you want.

  • Withdraw funds: move an amount back to your available balance at any time.

Automatic deposits

If you'd rather save without having to think about it, you can set up automatic deposits. Choose an amount and frequency, and belo will deduct it from your available balance automatically each period.

When setting it up, you can choose which currency to deduct from. For example, if you have a saving pot in USDT, you could deduct from your balance in another currency, like ARGt. belo handles the conversion at the exchange rate in effect at that moment.

Please note that you can have up to 2 active automatic deposits per saving pot.

💡 To set up automatic deposits, you need to have an available balance in belo. If your balance is zero, you won't be able to set it up.

Do saving pots earn yield? 📈

Yes, your money inside saving pots can earn yield. You just need to have yields active on your currencies.

On your saving pots screen, you'll see yield earned, just below your total reserved balance. That number is the combined yield from all your active saving pots.

If you delete a saving pot, the yield it generated is removed from the total. Everything else stays.
