What is the reference currency and what is its purpose?
The reference currency is the way your money is expressed in the application. That is, it shows the equivalent of your balance in the currency you choose. It allows you to have a clearer, more personalized, and useful view of your currencies and returns.
How does it work?
You can choose Argentine Pesos (ARS) or stablecoins like USDT and USDC as your reference currency. You decide how you want to view your money.
For example, if you choose ARS as your reference currency, you will see your total money expressed in that currency (Pesos), according to the current exchange rate. Keep in mind that your balance may fluctuate according to which currencies compose it and how you choose to view it.

How to change the reference currency? 📲
You can modify it in any of these places:
From the Home screen, by clicking the dropdown menu of the selected currency next to "My money".
In the My Money section, by clicking the dropdown menu of the selected currency next to "Total balance".
From My profile → App settings → Native currency.
Select the currency you prefer and that's it. From that moment on, your balance will be shown expressed in that currency.
Where to see your real balances in each currency?
In the "My Money" section, you can check the distribution of your balance in each currency: pesos, cryptos, or stablecoins.
Does the reference currency impact payments or transactions?
No. The reference currency is just a visual tool, a way of displaying your balance. It does not modify which currencies are used when you make a payment, transfer, or exchange. To choose which currency is debited from your account balances, you can configure your payment currencies from the application and set an order of preference. That configuration is separate.
With the reference currency, you have more control and clarity to view your money in the way that is most comfortable for you. Choose the one that best suits you.
